Notes of Distinction: March 2017

Whether it’s a published article, book, prestigious award or speaking engagement, members of Indiana University Northwest’s faculty and staff continue to share their wealth of expertise. We applaud the most recent top achievers that have made a name for themselves and IU Northwest.

Subir Bandyopadhyay, professor of marketing, recently co-authored a book entitled, “Contemporary Issues in Social Media Marketing” for Routledge Publishing. The book, expected to be published in June, 2017, is one of a few that showcase research on social media marketing.

Jennifer Greenburg, associate professor of fine arts, currently has her work exhibiting in “Global Perspectives: CENTER's International Photographic Award Winners," on display at the Marion Center for Photographic Arts at Santa Fe University of Art and Design through April 7. In addition, Greenburg’s work, “Revising History,” is featured in the Santa Fe New Mexican news article, “Nice bright colors & greens of summers: Photos from ‘Global Perspectives.’ "

Tin-Chun Lin, associate professor of economics, had his paper, “Impact of Restaurant Owners’/Managers’ Handling of Customers’ Unexpected Incidents on Customers’ Revisit Intention,” accepted for publication in the International Journal of Economics and Business Research. This high-ranked refereed economics/business journal is indexed by EconLit.

Bernadette Brier Slawinski, adjunct professor of education, retired at the end of the fall 2016 semester. The School of Education faculty and staff recently thanked her for her service to the preparation of future teachers with awards and a luncheon.
