Students participating in Indiana University Northwest’s 2014 Commencement ceremonies should plan to stop by Grad Fair to order graduation apparel between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 or between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20 in the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center, room 105ABC.
All IU campus participants will be robed in custom-made black rental gowns. Associate’s and bachelor’s degree graduates will be able to keep the crimson satin “stole of remembrance” that is worn over the gown as well as the cap and tassel.
Staff members and volunteers will be on hand to assist with gown orders at Grad Fair and to answer any questions regarding Commencement.
The gown rental fee is $52.22 for bachelor’s and associate’s degree candidates and $73.43 for master’s degree candidates. Kiosks will be set up in the Library Conference Center during Grad Fair for students to place orders by credit or debit card only. After the event, orders can be placed online at www.herffjones.com/iu until March 27, but after March 14, a $75 fee will be imposed for late orders.
A representative from Herff-Jones will be on hand to display other items available for order, including diploma frames, class rings, announcements and more. Individuals placing orders during Grad Fair may sign up for a free one-year membership to the Alumni Association.
The 2014 IU Northwest Commencement will take place at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at the Genesis Convention Center in Gary. Graduates must be arrive by 2:30 p.m. Gowns must be returned immediately following the ceremony at the Genesis Convention Center.
