Juanita Robinson director

Welcome to the Dental Education Department website.

Our department has four full-time faculty appointments and numerous adjunct faculty members who bring years of experience to the classroom from their time spent in private dental offices and educational institutions.  The campus offers a fully equipped dental clinic (preventive services) with 16 dental stations, six radiology cubicles, and two darkrooms.  Class size is limited for the programs offered.  Academic excellence is strongly encouraged for admittance.

The Dental Education Department currently offers a Certificate in Dental Assisting and an entry-level Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.  Continuing education courses for dental assistants (Radiology for Dental Assistants in the Community; also Caries Prevention and Coronal Polishing) and for dental hygienists (Local Anesthesia and Pain Control) are also offered periodically throughout the semesters.

Beginning in the fall semester of 2014, a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene completion degree will be offered.

Thank you for your interest in the programs offered at IU Northwest.
