Employer Resources

Welcome to the IU Northwest Career Services Employer Resource site!

The Indiana University Northwest Office of Career Services is prepared with a variety of programs and services to make working with us both pleasant and profitable.  Whether your needs are to fill an immediate part-time unskilled position or to review numbers of candidates for annual hiring needs at the professional level--or something in between--we can help.  Regular programs and services include:

On-Campus Recruiting - The Office of Career Services can schedule on campus recruiting days during the year.

Job Fairs and Career Days  - These events are exceptional ways to make contact with large numbers of job seekers in a short period of time.  The growth of all of our job fairs indicates how valuable employers regard this recruiting tool.  IUN sponsors and cosponsors ten job fairs and career days during the traditional academic year.  Check the roster of scheduled job fairs to see whether one or more of these events are right for your needs.

IU Career Tools

Indiana University offers free IU Career Tools for IU alumni seeking job postings, wanting to post their resumes, and locate other IU alumni.   [Note:  IU Alumni Association membership is required].

Career, Placement, and Non-Credit Courses Calendars

Job Postings/Resume Referral Service - If you have immediate personnel needs, contacting us by phone, fax, email at [[careernw]], register online at www.collegecentral.com/iun,  or snail mail with position descriptions and appropriate company information will automatically activate our listing services (office job binders, bulletin boards, e-mail, and resume referral).  All users of our office--students, alumni and other community clientele--will have access to your employment information.  If the position opening is a professional one, you can expect to receive resumes of registrants with our office.

Internships -  Internships are a creative way to enhance your capabilities at minimal cost; to evaluate potential permanent employees on the job; and to interact with the University by contributing to the learning of current students in substantive ways by offering experiential learning opportunities.  If you may be interested in offering part-time to full-time internship opportunities to students, at any time of the year, please contact the Office of Career Services, (219) 980-6650.
