Welcome to ABSO

ABSO interacts with the local community and northwest Indiana businesses where students can apply what they've learned in the classroom to the real world.
The IU Northwest Accounting and Business Student Organization is sponsored by Professor [[jamthoma,Jim Thomas]], CPA.

Our activities include sponsoring the Annual Campus BBQ, assisting with Money Smart Week, and participating in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Our Mission

The mission of Accounting and Student Business Organization is to educate and inform IUN students about business degree opportunities, to assist the IUN School of Business and Economics in preparing students for a future in the business world, to build a professional/educational network among ourselves, and to provide service to our communities.

Meetings:

ABSO meetings for Spring 2004 are on the first Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in Lindenwood Hall Room 413. These meetings are approximately an hour long. They will normally consist of a brief update with the progress of upcoming ABSO-related events.

Membership: 

ABSO membership is available to any IUN student. Membership dues are $15. per semester. Be prepared for a fun and enjoyable learning experience with students who carry similar interests!
